Shown below is a near-mint, all-original Springfield Armory M1911. The example displays the characteristic fine rust blue finish which is known to wear easily with even the slightest use. As such it is very difficult to find a specimen in this condition. Other unique features of the SA 1911 include multiple S-marked parts, integral front site machined out of the original slide stock, long profile hammer, and magazine with sides folded over the baseplate.
